The Golden Casket Of Earthly Marvels: Bulging the Question

Highlights from opening night
May 22nd
A curatorial collaboration between Popps Packing and The Lot

Garden Installations by David Prince, Design 99, Mary Bath Carolan & Robert Reese, Scott Hocking & Graem Whyte. Performance by Tzarinas of the Plane, drawings by Miroslav Cukovic and film by Guillotine Productions

Drawing Power by Mary Beth Carolan and Robert Reese
An interactive sculpture that transformed through two stages of energy. The first
stage, a high energy dance performance lit with high powered industrial lights that
draw power from the grid. As night fell, solar powered lights kicked in, drawing power only
from the storage provided by the sun that day. The sculpture transformed into a quieter experience
as dancers (Tzarinas of the Plane) lured audience members in to gaze at the solar light show.

Heartland Machine by Design 99
Heartland Machine is a sculptural self-contained information kiosk showcasing the character active in this region.

"To Much of a Good Thing" Opens May 27,2010

Balloon Launch by David Prince
Balloon Launch project interprets the process of scientific inquiry as an activity based in wonder, and depicts discovery not as an endpoint, but as an opportunity for new openings.

The Hole Part 2 by Scott Hocking and Graem Whyte

....and the Mystery Pods that landed sometime this spring

The ever talented Slovenian artist Cukovic brings drawings that make you want to cry because they are so good and you can't quite put your finger on what it is about them that makes you look at them for so long.

And
